This is a method of creating a site provided by Google and then connecting it to a personal domain.

 

 

1. Log in to the Google site (site.google.com) and click + to add a new site.

 

2. After creating the desired site, click Publish in the upper right corner.

 

3. Enter the web address you want to use and click Manage Custom Domain. At this time, the web address is the address provided by Google by default, and if you want to connect an additional personal domain, click Manage under ‘Custom Domain’.

 

4. On the settings screen, click Custom Domain > Start Settings.

5. After entering your domain name, if ownership has not been verified, click ‘Check Ownership’ below.

(Even if a new page opens after clicking, this page will not be closed.)

 

6. Select 'Other' as your domain provider and confirm the TXT value you want to add.

You must copy the TXT record value and set the record on the name server you use.

(If using Hosting KR domain/name server)

 

7. Log in to Hosting KR > Go to My Service > Domain Management in the upper right corner and click the domain.

 

8. Click the Name Servers/DNS tab.

At this time, if you are using a third-party name server other than Hosting KR's name server, the TXT record confirmed in step 6 must be set by the name server company.

 

9. On the Name Server/DNS page, go to the ‘DNS Record Management’ area and set the settings in the order below.

1) Click Add New DNS Record

2) Specify the type as TXT

3) Copy the TXT value checked in step 6 without spaces and paste it into the value.

4) Click the V button to save

 

10. Then return to the Webmaster Center page and click Confirm to confirm ownership.

There may be a time lag of several minutes until ownership is verified.

 

11. Return to the custom domain settings screen as in number 5 and click Next.

 

12. Copy ghs.googlehosted.com. from the 'Connect to a third-party domain registrar' page.

 

13. Go back to DNS record management on the Hosting KR page and add record values. (Refer to steps 7 and 8 for menu movement)

1) Click Add New DNS Record

2) Specify the type as CNAME

3) Enter www in the name

4) ghs.googlehosted.com checked in number 12. Copy without spaces and paste into the value (up to the last .)

5) Click the V button to save

 

14. Return to screen 12 and click Done to confirm that your domain is connected to the custom domain. Once confirmed, close the X to close the screen.

 

15. Afterwards, enter the web address provided by Google, confirm that the custom domain has been set, and click Publish.

Once posting is complete, you can immediately access the default address such as https://sites.google.com/view/~ , You can check your connection to your domain after up to 48 hours as instructed.
