File and Directory Restoration for cPanel

You can restore items from local backup sources using the File and Directory Restoration interface. You can access backups by entering a path or searching for files and directories.
note :
- This interface allows you to restore items only from local backup files. To restore items from a remote backup file, you must forward the desired remote backup file to your local server.
- Use this interface to create .cpanel and mail directories cannot be restored. You must perform a full account backup restore to restore these directories.
- The system will restore deleted files and overwrite existing files.
File and directory restoration interface
This interface has two sections: Files and Directories ( Files and Directories) and Backups ( Backups) is included.
Files and directories section lists the files and directories containing the backup. Display. Your backups will appear in the Backups section.
You can access backups from this interface in two ways: You can enter the direct path to a file or directory, or search for files and directories to find the file you want to restore.
Enter a direct path to restore a file or directory

To browse the contents of a directory, use Browse files and directories ( Browse files and directories) Select . The system Enter a path When selected, the contents of the directory are not displayed.
You can restore files or directories from a path directly through your cPanel account's home directory. To do this, follow these steps:
1. In the Files and Directories section, Enter a path Select.
2, Enter the direct path to the file or directory in the text box. The path in the text box is the home directory path of the cPanel account user. For example, enter public_html in the text box for the direct path to the /home/user/public_html directory. In this directory path, user represents the username of your cPanel account.
3. Click Show Backups to list backups for that file or directory. Backups appear in the Backups section of the interface.
4. In the Backups section, select the backup you want to restore and click Restore .
5. The system will ask you to confirm the restore. Click Restore to confirm. A success or failure message appears.
Browse your home directory and restore files or directories
You can browse your home directory to find the file or directory you want to restore. To do this, follow these steps:
1. In the Files and Directories section, select files and directories. The contents of the cPanel account user's home directory appear. Click the name of a directory to view its contents.
2. Click Show Backups to list backups for that file or directory. Backups appear in the Backups section of the interface.
3. In the Backups section, select the backup you want to restore and click Restore.
4. The system will ask you to confirm the restore. Click Restore to confirm. A success or failure message is displayed.
The files and directories you successfully restored will appear in your home directory.
